This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. From volume XVIII onwards, articles are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License. For all previous materials, articles are free to view by anyone, but unless otherwise stated, permissions for use must be attained from the authors.

This is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or their institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.

MSURJ does not charge article processing or submission fees.

Authors retain the copyright of their works published by MSURJ. MSURJ holds a non-exclusive licence to publish these works; authors are free to distribute their own works, even after publication, as they wish, including depositing their work with any repository of their choice.
