OSE Proceedings Guidelines 2026

We're excited to share that this year the Office for Science Education has partnered with the McGill Science Undergraduate Research Journal (MSURJ) to publish the proceedings of this year's showcase. You must be registered for and attend the showcase to appear in the proceedings.

By submitting an abstract to MSURJ, your name and that of your co-authors will be published in an electronic booklet containing showcase abstracts. Each abstract will be assigned their own Digital Object Identifier (DOI), the standard way of indexing academic publications. This is a great way to be recognized for your work in academic circles and to be indexed in Google Scholar!

Please note that in order to publish your abstract in the proceedings, you will need to receive consent from all of your co-authors and/or supervisors and sign a Publication Rights Agreement (PRA) with MSURJ.

Key details:

  • Deadline to submit your abstract: Feb. 14th 2025, 11:59 pm EST

How to submit:

  • Review our abstract guidelines: link here
  • Gather the two required documents for submission:

1. Submission checklist link here

2. Publication Rights Agreement (PRA) link here
(Please note that getting signatures from co-authors may take some time! So, contact them as soon as you can!)

Submit abstract in .docx format (containing your title, authors, affiliations and keywords) as well as : your PRA and checklist here: Submit

Late submission, or submissions that do not follow the guidelines (e.g., word count, incomplete PRA), will not be accepted. Submission is not a guarantee of publication in the proceedings.

We are thrilled to offer you this opportunity to gain even more recognition for your work. For more detailed instructions on submitting, click here. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at msurj.sus@mail.mcgill.ca.
